One woman's journey into life as a we... and all that comes with it.
HELLO!
We are Alicia and Frank. In April, 2009 we welcomed our first baby into the world. Olivia came 1 week and 1 day late -- like her mom, always "fashionably late." The very next day a doctor felt and heard clicks when moving her legs. She was officially diagnosed with developmental dysplasia of the hip at 5 days old. Through several procedures, her hips have developed beautifully! This page is meant to keep family and friends updated on her progress and our lives. Enjoy!
You can read my very first post and a more detailed version of Olivia's story here. Posts about hip dysplasia are found here, and if you'd like to see all posts related to the spica cast, click here.
This moment sponsored by Mom Mom and Aunt Gina who donated the lovely, Liv-sized chair... that matched our furniture (hand-to-God, we did not special-order this).
Olivia finally has a place to sit like a big girl... and climb over... and stand on... and be bouncy on... and be the first thing that lead to a time-out.

Awww, she's so contented and comfortable with her new chair. I bet that makes you feel relaxed as well. :)
ReplyDeleteIt did... until she discovered that she can bounce as well as she can sit on the darn thing. 5 time outs later... lol.
